Is it my fault that I knew the midterm questions?

My view on teaching is to impart knowledge. I once had a professor who would give you the final exam first day in cl, his theory was "that is what I intend to teach you" so now you have no excuse to not learn it. Did you gain knowledge? That is, after all, the quest.
