My thawing salmon got warm is it still good?

I would not chance eating it unless it got warm by being thawed in the microwave. The safest way to defrost any food is overnight in the fridge. If you are short on time, you can defrost fish and small amounts of meat or chicken in very cold water. Be sure your fish etc. is in a sealed zip-lock or seal-a-meal bag. Place the sealed bag of food in a container large enough for it to be completely covered by very cold water. Change the water every 20 minutes. Food should never be left to thaw on the counter.
