Do Muslim's ever notice the difference of their "martyrs" compared to martyrs of other faiths?

Just things that make you go "hmmmm". A Muslim fanatic commits suicide by murdering or attempting to murder as many possible innocent people, that he or she will call "infidels". Their Imams will call these suicide/murderers "martyrs" for Islam. In most other faiths a martyr is an individual who is murdered for standing true to their faith. Such examples are the many Christians killed in concentration camps for aiding the victims of the holocaust or those Christians murdered during the Inquistions for opposing the RCC, or the disciple Stephen in the New Testament book of Acts. Just curious, if anyone can "enlighten" me of their logic.
