People want to get rid of Ronald McDonald?

Honestly, in my opinion, this proves that people as a whole is becoming toooooo ridiculously absurd. I mean come on, hes been the mascot of McDonalds since before I was born. And they thing think it'll stop kids from eating there? If i want my kid to have a hamburger and fries they are gonna get those hamburgers and fries no matter what. Its about time those health nuts figure out that just because they can't seem to work up the guts to eat a doughnut or some delectable treat every now and then doesn't mean they have to make fast food and dessert bland for everyone. Who agrees?
