Is this dangerous? if so how?

my mum was hoovering my room and hoovered something by accident but it snapped the rubber band inside or something and now my room smells of burning rubber. it's horrible, she opened every window in the house but i have to sleep in there tonight. i know this sounds stupid but can i die or get ill from the toxins? and how to i get rid of the smell quicker?
