Good vegetarian "beef" stew?

Growing up I loved Dinty Moore beef stew ^_^ yet I have now been a vegetarian for 8 years. I was wondering if anyone had a good recipe for a vegetarian stew similar to that stuff? I do a lot of experimenting in the kitchen but stews are not my thing. Its not so much that I want the beef stew, more so that its a beloved childhood memory and I would like something similar (minus the beef of course!)
